There is some new evidence coming out now concerning Mueller’s Russia investigation and it pretty much confirms what many people have been thinking. The Trump administration is a bottomless pit of chaos and corruption. Mueller’s findings may be never-ending. On Wednesday, it was reported that the FBI has found that former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort did have ongoing ties to Russian intelligence.

Manafort and his deputy Rick Gates were in contact with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign according to new court filings. According to The Washington Post:

‘The documents, filed late Tuesday by prosecutors for special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, also allege that Gates had said he knew the associate was a former officer with the Russian military intelligence service.

‘The allegations underscore Mueller’s interest in Manafort and Gates, who continued to interact with business associates in Ukraine even as they helped lead Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.’

Paul Manafort, who is 68 years old, pleaded not guilty to conspiracy, money laundering, and tax and bank fraud charges related to his lobbying work for a Russian-friendly political party in the Ukraine.

Deputy campaign manager Rick Gates did plead guilty to conspiracy and lying to the FBI in conjunction with Mueller’s investigation.

Kilmink, a White House spokesperson and attorney for Gates has maintained that there were not intelligence ties. In a statement in June, Kilminik said that he had:

‘No relation to the Russian or any other intelligence service.’

The Post reported:

‘Manafort has acknowledged staying in frequent contact with Kilimnik during the time he worked for Trump’s campaign, including meeting with him in person in May 2016 and again in August 2016, about two weeks before Manafort resigned as Trump’s campaign chairman.’

Manafort has also denied that there was contact with Russian intelligence, saying:

‘It’s not like these people wear badges that say, “I’m a Russian intelligence officer.”‘
