Rule of the Ball Game

The game of balls plunges us straight into the playground . There are many variations to the game of balls . Here we will introduce you to the versions of the most played ball game.

The game of marbles also has a collection aspect that is not to neglect. This makes it one of the favorite games of children.

The different shooting techniques:

The flick  : the index or the middle finger is folded on the thumb, one relaxes the finger of a sudden blow to draw the ball which is put on the ground.

Pointing : To draw a ball on the ground, pointing is the technique that is most often used. The thumb placed behind the index relaxes to send the ball to the desired distance. The hand remains still and the thumb joint remains on the ground.

The pliers  : the ball is placed between the thumb and the forefinger then the edge of the ball is used by putting a pressure of the hand and the ball goes all alone.

Calibration  : this is the technique that gives the most power to the ball. The ball is placed between the thumb and forefinger and the other fingers touch the ground. It is then necessary to relax the thumb of a dry blow to project the ball.

The tick:

Here is one of the simplest variants of the game of balls . The goal is to knock the ball off the opponent to win.

How to play tic:

One of the players places his ball on the ground. The players start about 3 meters from the ball and start firing. Players play in turn. Whoever touches the ball of the other first wins the game.

It usually puts its ball in play. That is to say, the winner wins the ball of the opponent.

The pot :

You have to dig a small hole in the ground or use an existing hole. The players are placed about 3 meters from the pot. You have to draw a line on the ground that will serve as a starting line. The goal is to be the first player to reach 110 points.

How to play Pot:

The players throw, in turn, their ball towards the hole by pulling with a finger. The goal being for them to put the maximum of balls in the hole. Each ball is worth 10 points. Each child plays his ball and raises the place where she stopped.

When a player enters a ball into the pot, he scores 10 points and starts again at the starting line. Note that it can be interesting to clear the balls of his opponent to save time. Touching an opponent’s ball can also earn 10 points if decided in advance.

How to win at the Pot:

The first player to reach 110 points wins the game and the bet agreed in advance. This can be all the opponent’s marbles or a specified number of marbles.

The pursuit :

We play the pursuit two, the goal being like the tick to touch the ball of the opponent.

How to play the pursuit:

The first player throws his ball on the ground. The second is placed at the place of the throw and tries to knock the ball of his opponent.

If the ball is not touched, the first player moves to where his ball is and picks it up. From there he tries to touch the ball of his opponent. So on until one of the children gets to touch the ball of his opponent.

The player who has touched the ball wins the game and therefore the ball of his opponent.

The pyramid :

Each player plays several marbles in this variant. There must be a minimum of two players and put two balls into play per player.

How to play the pyramid:

You have to stack several marbles on top of each other so as to form a pyramid. The players then place themselves about 3 meters from the pyramid. The players each play their turn and the first player to destroy the pyramid, throwing his bile on it, wins the game.

The route (or Tour de France):

In this variant you must first build or draw a course. This can be a track drawn in sand. We can put turns, climbs and descents and there is no size limit.

However, the start, finish and limits of the course must be well defined in advance. The arrival may be a hole for example.

How to play the course:

The goal is to finish the course in a minimum of blows. A little in the spirit of a golf course. The players each play their turn. The ball of a player must not leave the limits of the course.

If a ball comes out of the course, the player must replace it at the place of its exit and start from there to the next turn. We can at the beginning of the game agree penalties in case of exit limits. (a penalty round or start again at the beginning for example).

How to win the course:

The player who completes the course in a minimum of hits wins the game and the game decided at the beginning.

The wall :

The goal of this variant is to place his ball close to the wall to win the game. There must be at least two players.

How to play on the wall:

Each player is about 3 meters from the wall and throws his ball. The ball should not touch the wall otherwise the player is eliminated. Whoever puts himself closer to the wall, without touching him, wins the game.
